The traditional design of the Old World is inspired primarily by classic European styles of antiquity. Clearly influenced by the later Renaissance period, which featured the enrichment of ornament and outline, the Old World reflects the elaborate details of the French and English translations of this significant architectural movement. As Roman design standards like columns and pilasters were applied to furniture, a full complement of bases, cornices, and pediments emerged, transforming cabinets, dressers, and other case pieces into scaled-down architectural compositions.
With functionality that belies its compact size, at 60 inches high and 44 inches wide, the Old World Dresser Chest is proportioned to fit comfortably into any bedroom. In addition to its six drawers, the Dresser Chest features a tray hidden behind the face molding di Rectangular below the two top drawers; the hidden tray can be opened easily by pressing forward to disengage the touch latch system. In addition, the two top drawers are lined in felt and the bottom drawer is cased in aromatic cedar to store fine textiles. Carved acanthus leaf details, inlaid veneers, and a warm hand-rubbed pomegranate finish make the Old World Dresser Chest a perfect complement to other pieces in the collection.

Warranty
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described herein, the Company warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a term of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (dealer). Finish Information: The Company’s products are offered in a variety of finishes. Each piece is finished by hand and involves a variety of steps. While we strive to replicate each finish to a standard, each piece will be unique due to the individual attention each order receives. This is a result of the varying application techniques that are hand-crafted. Other variations in wood such as species, grain, and color have their own impact on the final look of your finished frame. Because the finishing process is completed on demand, it is preferable to finish simultaneously to match a finish between pieces. Striping or accenting is available on certain items. This is a very labor-intensive manual process and the look will vary from piece to piece.
