The traditional design of the Old World is inspired primarily by classic European styles of antiquity. Clearly influenced by the later Renaissance period, which featured the enrichment of ornament and outline, the Old World reflects the elaborate details of the French and English translations of this significant architectural movement. As Roman design standards like columns and pilasters were applied to furniture, a full complement of bases, cornices, and pediments emerged, transforming cabinets, dressers, and other case pieces into scaled-down architectural compositions.
The top of the Old World Rectangular angular Cocktail Table features a stunning sunburst of the book-matched cherry cathedral; the oval design is bordered by herringbone inlay and offsets with exotic avodire cross banding. The leaf-carved gadroons along the table edge match the carving on the Old World Collection dining tables. The dramatically concave C-scrolled legs are carved with a leaf and scroll design and support a useful lower shelf. The finish is a rich and warm pomegranate shade that has both depth and clarity to allow the natural beauty of the wood grain to shine through.

Warranty
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described herein, the Company warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a term of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (dealer). Finish Information: The Company’s products are offered in a variety of finishes. Each piece is finished by hand and involves a variety of steps. While we strive to replicate each finish to a standard, each piece will be unique due to the individual attention each order receives. This is a result of the varying application techniques that are hand-crafted. Other variations in wood such as species, grain, and color have their own impact on the final look of your finished frame. Because the finishing process is completed on demand, it is preferable to finish simultaneously to match a finish between pieces. Striping or accenting is available on certain items. This is a very labor-intensive manual process and the look will vary from piece to piece.
