The 5 Best Affordable Coffee Tables (2026)
Short answer: The best affordable coffee table is the one that fits your sofa and gives you the storage you need. Below are five budget-friendly coffee tables from Archic: a marble-top table with drawers, an open-shelf table, a round mango wood table, a square outdoor table and a lift-top table with storage. Prices change, so check the current price on each product page. Sizes below come from those pages.
How to choose a cheap coffee table that fits
Three measurements matter more than the price tag. Sizing guides suggest the tabletop should sit about one or two inches lower than your seat cushions, the length should be about two-thirds the length of your sofa, and you should leave 12 to 18 inches between the table and the seating. For an 84 inch sofa, that means a table around 56 inches long. Browse more in our coffee tables collection.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right coffee table size?
Aim for a length of about two-thirds your sofa, a top one to two inches below the seat cushions, and 12 to 18 inches of space between the table and the seating.
Should a coffee table be higher than the couch?
No. Sizing guides put the tabletop about one to two inches lower than the seat cushions, so you can reach it easily. Check the height on each product page against your sofa.
What is a good cheap coffee table for a small space?
The two 12 inch tall tables are compact in height, but the round UPT-32180 is 35.5 inches across. The rectangular tables are 22 to 24 inches deep. Measure your room before you choose.
Which of these has hidden storage?
The lift-top table stores items under two lift-up halves. The marble-top table has two drawers and a shelf, and the open-shelf table has one open shelf.
