George Samaras completed his tour of duty as a pharmacist in the Greek military in 1986. Soon after, he found his love for the sea and began racing sailboats and captaining a yacht for tourist excursions throughout the Greek Islands. In 1988, he met his future wife Kelley, an American who was vacationing with her family and had chartered Samaras' boat. George was taken with Kelley and they stayed in touch after she returned home. She eventually moved to Greece and later the two were married. After seven years together in Greece, the couple decided to take on their next adventure in the United States.

On one Thanksgiving Day, George's father-in-law introduced him to a kamado cooker. This is where George realized the amazing flavor and juiciness a ceramic cooker could give any food. He purchased his own and regularly cooked meals for his friends and family.

George loved these cookers so much that he would ship them to Greece for friends and family. Eventually, George had over 80 people in his homeland that wanted a kamado. He reached out to the manufacturer to see if he could start a distributorship in Greece, but they declined.

Not to be deterred, George saw a niche in the market and decided that he would make his own kamado cookers. Many people, including ceramic engineers, told him that it couldn't be done, but he pressed on and spent the next several years developing and testing his own formula for the refractory material to get the right blend.

That brings us to 1996, where George founded and established Primo Ceramic Grills. Samaras chose the name, "Primo" because it means "the best" in Italian. His first manufacturing facility was a 700 sq. ft. space he rented. Due to the limited space he could only make two grills at a time and he had to drive across town to a kiln to have them fired.

As his business began to pick up, George continued to strive towards the best possible ceramic grill on the market, while maintaining manufacturing in the United States. George's love for improvement and innovation led him to discover that an oval-shaped grill offered greater cooking versatility and efficiency than a round-shaped grill. The introduction of the patented oval-shaped grill in 2002 established Primo as a major manufacturer in the ceramic grill market.

Such a nice unit!

We love it! The wood is beautiful and has a nice polished look!
Assembly from the shipping box takes 30 or 40 minutes for 2 people. Opening it up for guests takes 30 seconds for 1 person. The bed is very comfortable.
In our TV/ Entertainment room it is now the TV stand for our 55" tv! This model of Murphy bed, the tv gets to stay on top.

Great guest bed

We bought this Murphy bed for our spare bedroom on Sunday and it was delivered on Wednesday. The company called right after ordering to confirm order and make sure I understood shipping. It is well made - wood not pressboard. Instructions are easy to understand and it took my husband and I less than an hour to unpack, take the pieces to the second floor, and put together. This will be a great addition to our guest bedroom without taking up too much extra space. The only issue we have is that someone put the stickers noting the back of the top piece on incorrectly and we need to figure out how to remove without messing up the stain.

Wonderful purchase!

Really love this bed. I have to start by praising the packaging — it was so thoroughly wrapped and protected that it would have been nearly impossible to damage during shipping. Absolutely beautiful piece. Assembly wasn't too bad, though I found the instructional video a bit misleading: while it's nice that it shows two women putting it together, the bed is seriously heavy! I personally didn't have the strength to be much help to my husband during setup, and we ended up needing his sister to step in. That said, it's solid wood, so the weight makes sense. The assembly process itself is straightforward, and once it's all together, making the bed is a breeze. Like several other reviewers, I paired it with a thick foam mattress topper (around 1 3/4"), and our guests have raved about how comfortable it is. It looks great and fits perfectly in our small guest room, making the space so much more functional.

Honest and very friendly people. I ordered a Murphy bed for my grandmother and she was surprisingly saying it was comfortable. I saw online people use mattress toppers for extra comfort, but how it normally comes it suitable for us. Thank you Archic Team

Easy to assemble and comfortable

Although the delivery driver wasn’t helpful and the carton was damaged, the cabinet bed itself was fairly easy to assemble and set up and looks great! The mattress is much more comfortable than a standard sofa bed.

Love how sturdy it is! I was skeptical about whether or not the mattress can be stored in the dresser and it can- theres enough room that you could leave sheets on the mattress. It was pretty easy to assemble, definitely recommend getting rhe mattress thats suggested on the site.

Purchased this Cabinet Bed in anticipation of two sets of grandparents coming into town for 3 weeks this summer. This was aimed to be an improvement for a pull-out couch and by all accounts, our visitors had very comfortable and restful sleep on this Murphy Cabinet Bed. While the price was a little eye-watering, we consider this an investment for future guests for years to come and have been very happy with this bed thus far.

Received my Daisy cabinet bed about 2 weeks ago, and I love it! Can’t wait to have guests stay and use it. The mattress is way better than any sofa bed EVER.
