The traditional design of the Old World is inspired primarily by classic European styles of antiquity. Clearly influenced by the later Renaissance period, which featured the enrichment of ornament and outline, the Old World reflects the elaborate details of the French and English translations of this significant architectural movement. As Roman design standards like columns and pilasters were applied to furniture, a full complement of bases, cornices, and pediments emerged, transforming cabinets, dressers, and other case pieces into scaled-down architectural compositions.
From the carved shell crowning the top of the ornate headboard to the sunburst pattern of book-matched cherry veneer on the footboard, the Old World King Estate Bed is a statement-making interpretation of traditional European design. Beautifully integrated into the Old World Collection, the bed’s headboard and footboard feature picture frame carving, inlaid cross banding, and carved molding in a neoclassical bead-and-bobbin motif, all signatures of the Old World Collection’s dramatic case pieces. The bed’s four posts are finished with hand-carved newel tops, and side rails are a generous 14-1/2 in. wide, fully dressed with shaped moldings and fancy face veneers. One modern touch: the footboard is purposely near bedding height to make television viewing easy. In addition to the King size, the Old World Estate Bed is available in Queen and California King sizes.

Warranty
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described herein, the Company warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a term of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (dealer). Finish Information: The Company’s products are offered in a variety of finishes. Each piece is finished by hand and involves a variety of steps. While we strive to replicate each finish to a standard, each piece will be unique due to the individual attention each order receives. This is a result of the varying application techniques that are hand-crafted. Other variations in wood such as species, grain, and color have their own impact on the final look of your finished frame. Because the finishing process is completed on demand, it is preferable to finish simultaneously to match a finish between pieces. Striping or accenting is available on certain items. This is a very labor-intensive manual process and the look will vary from piece to piece.
