The Empava 30-inch gas cooktops with the CSA certification are a perfect combination of style and practicality. Constructed with 18-gauge stainless steel for exceptional resistance to corrosion and rust. Handcrafted brushed satin finish to prevent dents and scratches for long-lasting use in your busy kitchen. The gas cooktops feature commercial-grade components (1x 18,000-BTUs, 2x 12,000-BTUs, 1x 9,500 BTUs, and 1x 6,000 BTUs, a total 57,500-BTUs), and the power burner is designed to reach maximum temperatures quickly as well as a simmer burner for more delicate, controlled heat. The knobs and the heavy-duty cast iron grates can be cleaned in the dishwasher. During the past years, gas cooktops by Empava appliances have been a very popular choice for kitchen upgrades and new builds, allowing you to cook restaurant-quality meals from the comfort of your own home.

  • Besides checking the product measurements, you should also.
  • Walk the delivery path: measure doorways, hallways, stairways, and areas where there may be a tight fit to ensure your appliance will fit.
  • Check the fuel type: check if your cooktop requires gas or electricity. Depending on the model, electric cooktops require a 30, 40, or 50-amp circuit.
  • Measure the cutout space: remove your existing cooktop and measure the cutout opening. Measure the cutout width from side to side, depth from front to back, and distance between the cutout and both the back wall and the front of the countertop.
  • Additional considerations: keep in mind that your new cooktop will have a lip that will overlap the cutout by ½-1 inch. You should also subtract any space needed for gas lines, ventilation, or other manufacturer requirements beneath the cooktop. Your cooktop should also be 24 to 36 inches from any hood or cabinets above it.
