For a futon bunk bed, the Cinnamon Twin/Futon Bunk Bed puts a twin bed above a full-size futon that converts between sofa and bed. The rest are twin over twin and twin over full bunk beds, murphy cabinet beds, upholstered and wood twin beds, a daybed and outdoor swing beds.

Futon bunk bed (twin over futon)

The Cinnamon Twin/Futon Bunk Bed is the only futon bunk bed in this collection. It has a twin bed above and a full-size futon below. The page says the bottom futon converts between sofa and bed. It is made of rubberwood solids and/or rubberwood veneers, with an add-drawers option and Cherry, Chocolate, Natural, Stonewash and White finishes. Murphy cabinet beds in twin

Two Night and Day cabinet beds make a twin bed. The Orion is sold in Twin and Full. The twin lists 42.4 inches wide, 20.5 deep and 36 high closed, and 76.5 inches long when open. It is freestanding and lists a 500 lb capacity. It is sold as a Complete Set with the 4-inch tri-fold gel memory foam mattress, or as Cabinet Only without one.

The Siesta Desk Bed is a standing-height desk with bookshelves that converts into a twin bed in less than a minute. It lists built-in electrical outlets and USB ports, and the Complete version includes a gel memory foam mattress. Counter stools are an optional add-on. Outdoor swing beds

Four A & L Furniture twin swing beds (Newport, Marlboro, Traditional English and Royal English Garden) are handcrafted in the USA from Western Red Cedar. The Marlboro lists an inside seat of 75 inches wide by 38 deep and can be hung with chain or rope.

Which twin beds fold into a cabinet?

Do any of these twin beds need a box spring?
The Manhattan Comfort Heather and Alpine Flynn pages say no box spring is needed. Check the product page of any other bed for its own mattress and base notes.

Can I add a trundle or drawers to a bunk bed?
The Cinnamon, Peppermint and Ginger bunk pages list color-matching trundle and drawer options. The Cinnamon futon bunk lists an add-drawers option.

Night and Day Furniture Queen Murphy Cabinet Bed Cube

It’s a winner!

After shopping in furniture stores and online searches for a Murphy cabinet bed, I happened upon this one. The dimensions fit our space and the style is neutral enough to blend well with other furniture. We chose the cherry finish which is really lovely, The ratings provided by other shoppers were really helpful, and at several suggestions decided to also order the Memory foam mattress topper from this site.
Communication from the company was excellent as we planned for the arrival. My husband and I (both age 75) were able to easily assemble by following the video instructions which included unloading the freight parcel and moving it into the house. Allow 2+ hours start to finish. It’s a winner!
