It is well made - wood not pressboard. Instructions are easy to understand and it took my husband and I less than an hour to unpack, take the pieces to the second floor, and put together. This will be a great addition to our guest bedroom without taking up too much extra space. The only issue we have is that someone put the stickers noting the back of the top piece on incorrectly and we need to figure out how to remove without messing up the stain.
